Meet Coco and Mousse – Mobility Dogs’ sweetest new arrivals 🍫
They are nine weeks old, chocolate brown, and completely, utterly irresistible. Meet Coco and Mousse – Mobility Dogs’ very first chocolate Labradors, and quite possibly the most significant new arrivals in our programme’s history.
Yes, we said historic. They would agree.
Coco arrived into the world with boundless enthusiasm and zero concept of personal space. Her raiser describes her as “chonky” and “roly-poly” – qualities she wears with considerable pride. She can already sit (properly, bottom on the floor and everything), she’s working on “down,” and she has mastered the art of letting her raiser know when she needs to go outside. She is sleeping through the night, and everyone – Coco included – is very pleased about this.
Mousse, meanwhile, is not a chaos dog. She would like that noted. Where Coco treats every encounter like a party, Mousse approaches life as a field study – careful, curious, and deeply committed to investigating anything that might possibly be interesting. Which, it turns out, is everything. She is also nearly sleeping through the night. She too, is sleeping through the night, though she reserves the right to notice things.
Together, they are a glorious handful. Apart, they are already becoming the dogs they are meant to be.
At around 11 weeks old, Coco and Mousse are just beginning a journey that will take two years and around NZD $50,000 each to complete. At the end of it, each will change someone’s life in ways that are difficult to put into words – and wonderful to witness.
You can be part of that journey.
Sponsor a puppy from as little as $20 a month – and follow Coco and Mousse every step of the way.
